EASTER, 2016, and the School Holidays following in April, are almost here and the weather at Wallis Lake, Forster, is continuing very warm and sunny and just ideal for Boating and Fishing. FLATHEAD have gone off the bite with the change of season but can still be caught in the Breckenridge Channel of Wallis Lake WHITING & BREAM are still very active with larger Whiting coming in from the ocean. The water temperature is still high. LUDERICK (Blackfish) are coming on the bite and can be caught on fresh green weed. The Luderick season is shaping up to be the best for many years. There is a great presence of very tasty Blue Swimmer Crabs in the Lake also. They can be easily caught using witches hat nets on the shallow sand flats. A number of KINGFISH have been seen in the Lake and seem to be most active at the turn of the tide, top or bottom. Other varieties such as Trevally, Leatherjacket and Sole can be caught using a variety of Bait that we sell here at BLUE PETER BOATSHED. Live worms should be available over the Easter holiday season along with a good range of Tackle, sun hats, sunscreen and All your boating needs. Drinks, snacks, ice creams and ICE are also available. Our fishing advice and detailed coloured map is invaluable!!! We are open from 8am to 5pm daily with extended hours over the coming Easter and School holidays so come and see us at 95 Little St
