WALLIS LAKE FISHING REPORT

WINTER, 2010 FISHING REPORT

With the cooler weather and crystal clear water, the big BREAM are proving a little difficult to catch. These big fish are not venturing far from cover, so floating a fresh mullet strip or prawn bait as close to the oyster leases as possible should get some positive results.

There are a lot of LEATHERJACKET about making soft plastic fishing frustrating, as they chew them to pieces. However, a small long shank hook and a piece of prawn will catch you a nice bag of these delicious LEATHERJACKET.

LUDERIC are everywhere in the lake at the moment but with everybody chasing them the local green weed supply is depleted, so if you are travelling up from Sydney it may pay to bring some green weed with you.

TAYLOR and TREVALLY are also very active now. This season FLATHEAD are more active than they are normally in Winter.

At Blue Peter Boatshed, we have a good range of frozen Bait and all the tackle needs for fishing Wallis Lake and Surrounds.
