With the cooler weather and relatively clear water, we are having a good BREAM Season, many bream are 40cms plus! Floating fresh mullet strips or prawn bait as close to the oyster leases as possible should get some positive results.
There is still some very good FLATHEAD about as the water is still warm in the shallows. Once again mullet strips are good bait for FLATHEAD. LUDERIC (black fish) are just beginning to appear in the lake at the moment, so if you are travelling up from Sydney it may pay to bring some green weed with you. Schools of TAYLOR have moved into the Lake and are good fun on Surface lures. TREVALLY can be caught with Lures and Bait. At Blue Peter Boatshed, we have a good range of frozen Bait and live worms and all the tackle needs for fishing Wallis Lake and Surrounds. Do drop into our Boatshed at 95 Little Street, Forster and catch up with all the Fishing Advice, hot spots and tidal information. Besides the great taste of fresh fish, there are also so many health benefits for including fish regularly in our diets. HAPPY FISHING!
